The Order of the Valkyrie, or Valkyria as it is also known, is an all-female organization of women who come together to study and practice Viking martial arts. The central focus of Valkyria is to train women so that they may confidently engage other male-dominated organizations in competitive Viking combat. However, training with axes, spears, and swords is only one aspect of what we do. We also teach crafting and outdoorsing skills, including wilderness survival, sailing, and enjoy a variety of other “unlady-like” activities. Our mission is to educate and empower women to be the best version of themselves with the support and encouragement of a sisterhood bound together by an ancient warrior ethic. Our members come from all walks of life from medical professionals and engineers, to stay-and-home moms, exotic dancers, and everyone in between. We welcome all women, regardless of ethnicity or sexual preference, not because we are virtue-signaling do-gooders, but because we believe that any woman who possesses the will, skill, and ability to become a warrior deserves an opportunity to share in our glory.
